Another question

I am having the hardest time finding glass sound boards online. I can find glass friction boards. The only sound boards I am able to find are Acrylic, Wood or ABS. Will the glass friction boards work as sound boards. Thanks for bearing with my questions, maybe I'm over thinking it.
Andy

Andy, which suppliers have you tried? I've not had any problem finding glass soundboards...

BTW, you're in Columbus IN - you don't work for Cummins Inc do you?
There's a duck call in that block of wood. I just have to find it!

I get mine from Shipleys Outdoors.  3" single strength for soundboards in a 3.5" pot

Well I dont directly work for Cummins but I work for a company that does work for Cummins. Thanks. I assume this (in the picture) is what a glass soundboard is? Could that also be used as the "friction surface" the top piece that the striker rubs against. I am have trouble differentiating between the two. I know where they go and their purpose I just wonder if one will work for the other. Hard to type what I mean LOL

Sound board and friction surface is all the same thing. Just a matter of size and that its single strength. I don’t suggest double strength for anything but a sound board. And even then, you will have to build your pot around that double weight board.
