Osage and walnut sets
« on: February 08, 2018, 08:15:48 PM »
These grunt and turkey sets are heading down to Georgia for an auction.  The proceeds help fund archery programs at local schools.  Osage is glass over slate, walnut is slate over glass with a dogwood tipped striker, all finished with teak oil.  As usual, thanks to everyone for all the great info shared here!

Those look great! If it's not a secret, what did you tip the walnut striker with and how?
Thanks.

The tip is dogwood.  I just cut a 1/4" tenon and glued it up.  I really dont like how walnut strikers play but dogwood is fantastic
