Pot call design

Do you think the outside shape of pot call will change sound?  See a lot of calls with groves cut on side and bottoms. They say checkering box calls makes difference but didn't know on pot calls... thanks

Pot calls are extremely sensitive. Everything matters.

Everything matters to the pot anyways. Sometimes that matter does not matter to the listener of the pot.
