Stabilized Cypress Call
« on: January 08, 2018, 02:57:18 PM »
I've been turning a few duck call barrels. Using Echo inserts for voice.  This is one I did for a friend who bought it for his brother as a christmas gift.  My first attempt at laser engraving on the barrel.  It is made from cypress that has been stabilized with Cactus Juice.

I bought a 400mm by 600mm 60 watt machine with a rotary attachment from Automation Technologies.  Pretty versitile machine.

Nice shape to that barrel.
Lots of us started with an Echo insert.  Next will be to make your own inserts.
