Testing calls for sound with no finish?
« on: July 25, 2017, 09:34:36 AM »
So I'm still testing out new designs. If I test calls with just playing surface and soundboard installed but no finish (teak oil) on the wood will it greatly affect the sound of the call? I'm just looking for a quicker way to test them instead of going through the whole process just to see if a call can talk turkey or not.  Thanks.

My vote is that I think finish matters quite a bit.
