New Call Design
« on: July 10, 2017, 03:52:17 PM »
Been working on a design that incorporates some custom leg bands.  Wanted to get some critiques from the THO brethren.  Give me some feedback on overall design, shape, dimensions, and anything else you can think of, please.

I like it.  Got a nice old school look to it.  Neat idea on adding the band to the insert.

Reelfoot, the original duck call. What's on your lanyard?

I like it a lot. x 2 from Fred.

Maybe you should think of a lanyard grove for the stopper.

Thanks, guys.

Ben, I did work on adding a lanyard groove to the insert but it didn't seem to work with the overall proportions due to the height of the leg band.  I spent a lot of time on the size, shape, and feel of the insert to incorporate the leg band as seamlessly as possible.  I ultimately came to the decision that there wasn't room for a lanyard groove.

There's a duck call in that block of wood. I just have to find it!

I memorized Romans 10:13 about 6 years ago at church camp as a sponsor.

Means a lot to see that reference on your call.

Good looking call too.
