soundboard question
« on: May 30, 2017, 05:11:28 PM »
Ive seen where some are concerned with the soundboard touching the inside of the pot.  Ive never had that problem, but I have almost a 3/16 gap all the way around the soundboard.  My shelf for the playing surface is only about 1/8 at best.  My question is, should my shelf be wider than that and close the distance between soundboard and the inside of the pot?  The calls, I believe, will kill turkeys, but just not getting the sound im looking for and what ive heard from some of others calls.  Im working with 3" soundboards.

how that you have a base line take the same wood and change one thing and take good notes until you find what you are hunting for ,what works for someone else might not work for you so experiment it summer time
