What size chuck needed
« on: February 14, 2017, 06:51:20 PM »
I have been using a screw chuck to turn pot calls because it was the cheapest route and not knowing if I would stick to it now that I have taken to it I want to step up to a better chuck. Question is what size do I need to turn pots and wanting one that has a woodworm screw also..

I run a Jet 1221 lathe and for that size lathe I have 2 Super Nova 2 chucks. With the right jaws they do everything I need.
Check EBay for great prices. Woodcraft also has them.

Good deal thanks. I was unsure in what size jaws or whatever I needed to hold a 3 1/2 inch pot one the inside and outside of the pot.

I use a set of these to hold the outside.
