Warped slate?
« on: January 23, 2017, 02:24:59 PM »
Hey everybody, so I hAve been ordering my slate through an online dealer (don't want to burn anybody but they are reputable) and have noticed that most of the discs have been slightly cupped... if you put them on a flat surface they will rock back and forth... Instead of being flat | they are shaped like this (      Is that normal or should I try ordering from somebody else... Some of them look ridiculous when I try to glue the surface in.  Thanks in advance

I would either take it up with them, or sand them flat with a random orbital sander.

I don't see any other choices.

I remember one of my friends getting warped stuff one time, and he sent it back.  The mistake was fixed and written off as a new supplier (actual mining company) getting in the game. It was useless. I have never gotten any bad stuff.
