Getting back in the swing of things
« on: August 25, 2016, 10:12:19 AM »
I've been out of town working for the last three months and haven't had much turning time. I've been home every weekend, but when your gone all week the wife always keeps you busy on the weekends haha! I'm still supposed to be out of town, but with all the rain Louisiana has had in the last couple of weeks I decided to keep my crew at home this week (to wet for use to work anyway). Turned a few out this week! Gmelina burl with a coco insert, coco with sap, xcut hedge and Abw, and just plain ole hedge! All with the Massey finish, thanks for looking!

Thanks guys! Chris, it's a 2part epoxy/acetone mixer wiped on the call at the lathes slowest speed. Mr. Kevin Harvestor has a awesome tutorial on the site that I go by! Go check out the tutorial thread!

Is it in the duck call tutorials or general call making tutorials?   I wasn't able to find it.

Reelfoot, the original duck call. What's on your lanyard?

Fred

Thx Fred.  I did go to that page and apparently skipped right over it.

For someone that has used this finish, does it benefit or require wet sanding, plastic polish, or a white diamond buff?  Thanks
