Carved grunt

I'm sure everyone is getting a little tired of walnut, but I like cherry and walnut together.  Here's a carved call with handmade cherry guts.  The last photo has a hidden animal in the barrel much like my duck and goose calls.  See if you can pick it out.

There's a duck call in that block of wood. I just have to find it!

Awesome!  You have a jig for that toneboard or do you just freehand it?

I'm just free handing them for now.  I made a sketch that has the measurements every 1/8" down the toneboard.  60 grit on the drum sander to get close, then 220 grit and digital calipers seems to get it done.  I have found that deer guts are a lot more forgiving that say duck guts.
