What kind of bit for drilling exhaust?
« on: May 16, 2016, 12:13:04 PM »
Iam new to call making but have made some great progress on my toneboards. but iam having a problem boreing out the exhaust. I was curious what type of bits people use to bore them out. iam about to try a step drill bit. Is that the best way to go or is there another.

I use a stepped bit, as I think most others do as well.  You can also get a stepless bit if you want a smooth bore on your exhaust.

Drill with the step bits and for a smooth channel follow up with these.
