Writing on call
« on: March 25, 2016, 09:12:37 PM »
I am having problems signing calls and strikers. I have used a fine tip sharpie and tried using it on bare wood and using a poly spray over it, I have used poly than sanded than sharpie and poly again and I have tried poly with sharpie on the top. It runs every time and sharpie on the top wipes off. I'm at a lose except for using a wood burner.

Paint pen.  Anything with ink will smear and would fade over time anyway.

Try a pigma micron pen. You can get them at hobby stores like Michaels and hobby lobby. They work great for me, just let the ink dry for a couple minutes before touching it.

Are you using a finish over the pen?

I don't. The pen is the last thing I do.
