I don't remember ever seeing a reelfoot made from color wood so I thought I'd give it a whirl . the wood came from another THO member . has a nice e laminated gun stock look so it was fitting to put a tru-oil finish on it.

I have made a few from laminates Ryan. I have also had a few crack along the glue line of the laminate. I like the material but will include a micarta band on any I make in the future.

Nice call and the usual fine workmanship!

Ben the call sounds great very crisp. I've finally have my exhaust right and getting much more air through them thanks for your help. Fred you always provide great advice I wouldn't have thought this stuff would crack but a glue joint is a glue joint .I have enough to make one more maybe a copper band would look good thanks again everyone.
