Is it by material and cost times 2 or 3 or is it just what everyone else is putting theirs at or is it just off your hip?

I have a base price and it goes up depending on material and how much time I have in the call.

Same here. If I did it by 3x material price my hedge calls would cost less than $10. I have a base price and it gets added to based on material cost, complexity, desirability of rare materials, finish, etc.

I price my calls by each model type. Each model has a different price set by the average material type used and the average amount of labor spent to make the call. Examples are my Marsh model duck call for the most part is made using nice selected pieces of domestic hardwood (like hedge), has a simple shape in design easy to sand and finish with a plain metal band. My Limited model duck call has high quality imported woods such as (blackwood), the band, tone board and barrel have grooved and beveled surfaces. I add $5 per call using clear fancy stabilized woods and $10 per call for dyed colored stabilized woods. Calls with special laminated woods or inlays the price goes up depending on how much labor is used.
