Got this wood from a new friend in South Carolina who I have been helping get started into making Reelfoot style calls. You meet the nicest people on THO!

Looks like burl or crotch wood? Spaulting usually shows dark lines through the wood. Great looking call and very good work, I just don't think it is spaulted? See this
