Pecan and Laotian Flamewood Pens
« on: August 07, 2015, 09:38:13 PM »
Been sneaking out to the shop as often as I can lately (still not enough).   Haven't spent a great deal of time on calls, but knocked a few pens out.  This set was supposed to include redwood, but i blew up two blanks in turning so I asked the customer and they said to just pick whatever.  Ended up with a piece of laotian flamewood (Siam Rosewood) instead.  Both CA finished.  I think these are pen #s 15 &16 for me.  Definitely getting easier and quicker!

Well, those have an excellent finish. I hate making pens for the reason you mentioned -blanks exploding!  :taz:
