What's your favorite pen to make?
« on: June 07, 2015, 09:20:24 PM »

There are no incorrect answers here. Just trying to have the pen makers on here share which style of pen they enjoy making the most.

For me, my favorite pen to make is the cigar style clicker pens. Not sure why, maybe it's because of the larger size fits well on my hand.

You won't get money rich in this hobby.  The richness is in the culture, the craft, the friends you meet along the way, and being able to call in a wary game animal with a call that you made with your own hands.

I like making the Polaris & the Stratus from PSI the most. But for my desk I wanted the Gatsby pen/pencil set. I really like the way the Gatsby fits in my hand.

I've also become partial to the Gun metal finish for nearly all I make anymore.

I don't particularly like making pens but of the many styles I have made (and all I've used as a consumer), I prefer to write with a ballpoint Atrax because it fits my very large hands just right. The Stratus click would be my second choice because it's a clicker and has a long single blank which is nice for displaying material as well as speed/ease of turning/finishing.

I enjoy the Princeton pens they fit right , its a single tube which gives a bigger space to see the wood being used as I like to use burls. The only down fall is the weight

I like slimline, but not in the traditional fashion. Below is one of my signature pens - a .308 cartridge cut in half and the wood turned to fit inside. I've also done several with antler top half.
