Fluted screwdriver

My wife doesn't appreciate me borrowing her tools, because she says they never return.  :whistling:


So, I bought the screwdriver kit from Rockler, and thought that I'd make her a screwdriver for her own. I had a little help from my daughter yesterday picking out the wood for the handle, and she also served as the delivery girl this morning, giving her mom part of her Mother's Day present.


Honduran Rosewood with some sapwood. 6 flutes that aren't too deep for just a little bit of grip.

The kit was pretty good. And I wouldn't hesitate to make another one again when I need to.

The only thing I don't like about it, is the interchangeable bits. I've got a similar Stanley brand screwdriver. The two interchangeable bits are a small & large Phillips, and a small & large flat bit. On the Rockler kit, it's a large Philips & large flat, and a small & large square driver bit.
