Another Lamination.
« on: April 29, 2015, 06:27:46 PM »
Finished this guy up today. It is a 690pc lamination of Wormy Chestnut, Purpleheart, Cross Cut and Straight Grain Flame Box Elder. It is capped with Cocobolo and some brass inlays. Really enjoying doing these segmented calls. First picture is of my stock getting ready to be segmented.

Thanks guys! These are a blast, yea David this one only has 690 but I am working on one right now that is 810. Working my way up to the 1k mark. My goal is to keep them in the standard size call and see how many I can do and still have it look good. The weave affect I think come as from the box elder one being xcut and the other being straight.

Yep... I've read through Doug's tutorial several times.  But, I'm a sucker for seeing how other guys make their calls.  I'll be looking for some progress pics!
