Indian Rose Wood

Greetings All,
Here is one I turned out today. This is my first turn that isn't closet rod or white oak
It's Indian Rose Wood.


No finish on this yet. That is raw wood.


Same here. Just well sanded wood.


Finished call. I don't really like th finish, (Deft). I may strip it down and do an oil finish. Dumb to do?

Fantastic looking call.  I haven't done this long enough to know about re-finishing the deft, but I know I have messed up enough on mine that I have gone all the way back down to the wood a couple of times because I didnt like the way a particular spot turned out...so far the wood has just had a richer/more pleasing look than before.  Great job
