VECtor shop is going on vacation
« on: March 31, 2008, 10:11:47 PM »
HAHAHA!  I wish it really was a vacation!  I've still got about 30 strikers to turn to get caught up, but I just want to make sure everyone knows I will not be filling any more orders this spring for turkey calls (except the ones I already have).  I really appreciate the interest, and please don't forget to send your harvest photos to me!

I may have an opportunity for someone to get in on a display call of mine in the near future, but I'm waiting for my artist to get back with me.   ;D

Oh, I'll still be around here between rests.  I just won't be in the shop much at all.

I'm going to be turkey hunting, crappie fishing, and going after those big flatheads.

I can't wait to tie into one of those flatheads.  The boy and I were out in the shop today working on lines.  Here's a picture of our second biggest one from last year.  The picture of the biggest one, which was 2 pounds bigger, didn't turn out.   :-X   :-\

Nice looking flatheads.  Fishing would be fun if they all were that size!!

You won't get money rich in this hobby.  The richness is in the culture, the craft, the friends you meet along the way, and being able to call in a wary game animal with a call that you made with your own hands.

Man that looks like fun. I've never caught one even close to that size. I'll bet it's a blast. And doing it with the kid would make it even better.

Catfishing is ABOUT to get REALLY seriuos around here.  I've been scouting out a bunch of bait ponds, and I've been making phone calls to find other ones.  I'm going to be knocking on some doors this week.  It takes several hundred baits for 2 or 3 guys to go for two weeks.  MAN O MAN I'm getting excited!
