Homochitto Hollow Woodworks Duck Calls
« on: January 18, 2008, 08:23:48 AM »
I thought I would share of few of my calls with you guys.  The calls are a walnut and purpleheart wood duck whistle, a gaboon ebony single reed duck call and a flowering dogwood single reed duck call.  The ebony and the bands are from THO.  Most of my duck calls are single reed, open water style.  We have a huge duck hunting following hear in SW MIssissippi....we are only 20 miles from the Mississippi River and with the Mississippi is vase acreage of duck habitat.  I hope evryone enjoys the photographs.  I have some success photos I'll share as well.

Man those are nice looking calls.  I don't think I have ever seen a woodduck whistle, but it looks cool.

I really like the first one.  Just because I like the lgiht colored woods I guess.

Thanks for posting them!

I'm not getting a red x or anything. There is absolutely no indication of a picture in the post. Very strange.

I know it is pretty weird out here in Natzifornia, but I didn't know they were doing that.  ??? Last week they decided to not implement a new regulation the state bureaucrats were considering. The new reg would have required all new heating/cooling thermostats in homes and businesses to be hooked up to a computer in Sacramento. That way, when they decided there was too much energy being used, they could send out a message and lower your heater setting or raise you air conditioner setting.  >:(

No, I am not kidding. They were just about to implement it. Scary thought, isn't it, that they would even think of doing such a thing. This has become such a huge Nanny state it is incredible. One of the greatest places to live in the country, considering the weather, the country itself, the hunting and fishing possibilities, but the nanny state thinking has made it unbearable. The only reason I stay is to preserve my marriage, because my wife won't move. At least not yet.
