Friday night
« on: January 11, 2015, 12:06:01 AM »
So a few of us will usually get together the Friday night before the turnathon officially starts on Saturday at 8:00am.  I'm working until 5:00 and won't be home and changed out of my work get-up until at least 6:00.  But if anybody wants to meet up for dinner after that I'd be available.  After that would be a good window for folks to drop off their boxes of tools, lathes and such at the shop.  I'm sure at least a few of us will be hanging out in the shop well into the night, having a few cold beers and catching up.  All are welcome....

If you're interested in meeting up for dinner, I'm tentatively thinking 6:30 at the house.  We can just hit one of the close-by BBQ places.

PARK ON THE NORTH SIDE OF MY STREET, NOT THE SOUTH SIDE....PARK ON THE SAME SIDE OF THE STREET AS MY HOUSE.  Don't want anybody getting a parking ticket.

Let us know here so we don't leave anybody behind.

Which night do you suppose is going to be the trip to Joe's BBQ? :)

Saturday for sure Vince.  They're closed on Sundays.  I fully intend to make that trip with anyone and everyone that is interested.  Would be wise to go later and hopefully miss the dinner rush (although they're ALWAYS very busy).

My flight arrives at 5:38 PM. If I can get my rental car and get out of the airport in a timely manner, I am game for some BBQ.  Don't let me hold anything up, I can always catch a burger somewhere.  Darren

Darren, the good news is that MCI is the best airport in the free world and you'll be out of there in no time.  Not sure about rental car timing though.  Worst case, link up with us after dinner.  Just bring my phone number along.

I have Friday off and will be up that way early afternoon sometime.  Going to take it easy driving this year instead of hauling you know what after work to get there.  If there's anything I can do to help out before you get home just let me know.

I'm in for BBQ, I'll be headed in from a lunch meeting in Lousiana, MO.  Should be there in plenty of time.  Excited about this weekend.

No shame in that.  I've been known to do such things.
