Couple of new ones
« on: November 18, 2014, 06:04:12 PM »
Decided to get off the deer stand long enough to turn a few. Tried a new shape that should be a little bit easier on my ca finish. Certainly a lot quicker to turn! Turning down the brass and aluminum bands on the other shape is a pain in the butt. I have got to make a photo box and get a camera. Thanks for looking. All input appreciated!
Coco/brass sleeved clear acrylic tb (went a little to far with the lanyard groove) teak oil finish, black acrylic/brass, black pearl acrylic/aluminum, ivory acrylic/aluminum

Black acrylic with bocote band and end cap, aluminum inlay

Aged hedge barrel with abw band, abw insert with aged hedge cap and aluminum inlay. Mr. Eric Ostovic sent this material to me in the July trade minus the band. Special thanks to him!

Woodland camo with black acrylic band and toneboard

Turn that hedge call around and show off that sapwood on the abw.  Beauties!

Thanks David, you've been turning out some beauties. Mr. Eric I'll get a picture of the sapwood up tomorrow, I'm working on a photo box as we speak. Thanks again for the beautiful wood, that call is my favorite to date. It's sitting in a shadow box next to yours!
