Pantorouter
« on: October 28, 2014, 10:28:30 PM »
Completed the build on my Matthias Wandel (woodgears.ca) designed Pantorouter in about 18-20 hours. It's an incredibly versatile machine and I highly recommend taking a look at his site if you've never heard of it before. I wouldn't say it has a lot of call making capabilities, save for box call hollowing but who knows? It really shines for traditional woodworking joinery, even more important than that, though, it is ridiculously cool.

Looks like a nice set up Joe. I'll be expecting a hand on demo in Feb.

I would love to have one of those, but when I lost my balance and started using a cane, I had to get rid of the tooling to make one.

All you really need is a table saw, band saw (or jig saw if you're feeling frisky), and a drill press... obviously you'll need a router for the finished project. It sure makes it easier to have a jointer and planer but you can always get your timber milled to the necessary specs.

Ugh. I am sure it will be. I will not be able to make it this year for sure. Just too much time away from home already to convince anyone around home that I should be gone for additional days.
