I think we're going to stick with January for this year's event.  Next year maybe we'll push it back a month or so but I just don't have the flexibility to do that this year.  And nobody's going to make it on memorial day weekend anyhow!

Consider the aforementioned January dates firm!

Sounds like a plan.

I am in. Hopefully nothing pops up between now and then. Might be down for a mini when the skipper gets back.

Twice a month sounds good to me!  Every other Friday?
Just tell your wonderful wife we aren't picky eaters, but Friday is usually meatloaf and potatoes.

I can do January or May. I am in look forward to learning more, and sharing what I have learned this last year. Aaron what do you need to make this happen better and easier to put on. I know it is a lot of work. Thanks Jeff

Honestly Jeff, it isn't much work at all!  That's what's great about it.....Put a dozen or two call makers in a room and the fun just happens.  The only tough part about it is that my wife works weekends and only gets 4 days off per year.  She cashes in two of them for the turn-a-thon.  She's got 1-1/2 semesters of masters school left and then she'll get a new job that hopefully won't involve weekends work.  We really love having everybody and it definitely isn't a burden.

All I need from the guys interested in coming is some good brainstorming about what you'd like to see, do, try, learn about, etc.

Plan on coming up in January for the main event.  When Tyson gets back in the spring maybe we can have a few guys that live close back over for a mini turnathon.

I'm thinking of teaching basic glue-ups.  The basic technique to get strong butt joints and lining up the grain.  Glue-a-thon 101.   :1eye:

Vince, I need your help to make a squirrel call.

Maybe we could make some hedge short reed guts...

Yeaah!  Lets play goose guts!  I don't know everything but I can hack them up.
We have any "contest" good callers planning on coming?

Jon, your pretty good on the short reed.  I need lessons.... :helpsmilie: :surrender:
Honestly, every really good goose caller I know is on somebody's "Pro Staff" and does not want to get caught teaching me, or doing some good sound files using my calls.  LOL!  I'm fairly good, and know my calls have the stuff to do great sounds, but the pro staffers can't give me a good critique in public...

At least my calls aren't mass produced, and I certainly don't have any trouble killing honkers...   :punk:
