Not sure Rodney. I don't know how that works or if it's possible.  Hasn't been any updates to the TAT. It is still slated for the weekend of February 20-22.  Perhaps Joe [Short] can/will post up a few options for local hotels.

So, do you think you're gonna make it Rodney?

Jeff, as before, about the only truly local place is that wonderful Carolina Inn. Jacksonville is roughly 20 miles from here, Kinston is about 30... Jacksonville is the better of the two, but neither is a very quick trip when you consider that the Inn is about 4 miles up the road. I'll see if Beulaville has anything resembling a decent hotel and post up here what I find. That's only 8 or 9 miles out.

Yup, not trying to be a naysayer here, but..... NAY! There aren't any other close places that I can find.

What about Wallace, Joe, that isn't too far, is it?  I think I saw a Holiday Inn Express there.

We'll be fine at the Carolina Inn. I'm sure over the past year they have made all the appropriate upgrades and improved ammenities to bring this gem up to at least a 1-star motel  :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical:

Henry, Wallace is 30 miles away and I really couldn't say whether or not there are decent lodging options as I've not been there (that I can recall)...

I'm a transplant by way of the Midwest. I was stationed on Lejeune for two years, so I know Jacksonville quite well. There are nice hotels there, though relative to the cost and drive time (considering it's likely going to be nothing more than a place to sleep) I'm not certain it's worth it. Ultimately those decisions rest on your respective shoulders, just have to figure out what suits you and make it happen. I do know that John, Jeff, and I were still quietly sipping adult beverages at 2am while I finished that spontaneously combustible call.

Just got off the phone with Jeremy(Swampy Creek); he and I will be staying in "that" motel. We may be bringing along another fella as well. Looking at sleeping bags, air mattresses, and a can of raid to get us through.  If a bed bug or roach wants to bite with me after a day in Joes garage, he will most likely will be a victim of Bud Light poisoning.

If I recall, Joe's, John's, and my "Check Liver Light" came on Saturday night for sure!

Ha ha. Sounds good Larry. Last year after lengthy debates/conversations and, let's just say, a few libations, a tent would have sufficed @ 0200 in the morning.

I plan to behave this year and be the somewhat repsonsible one!  :hysterical:

I was thinking about bringing my deer hunting blind and fold out chair and just setting up in the corner after we settle down for the night. God knows I've done enough sleeping in that chair while turkey hunting.  :hysterical:

Option II is we don't settle down which makes roach motels and tents irrelevant!
