Those are pretty cool. Never seen a reelfoot with an o-ring, is that just to help keep it all together??

Reelfoot, the original duck call. What's on your lanyard?

Very cool, Ben. Just had a tremendous "duh!" moment, o-rings on a RF...  Why didn't I think of that?

O rings are not for the seal but to keep it all together when the stopper is pulled out.

I had made a couple last year that was hunted and the guy liked the o ring there and the lanyard groove so nothing is lost it the stopper comes out. No change in the call.

Marv Meyer beat you to the o-ring idea. I have a number of his calls that are made that way. Happens to me all the time. Just when I think I came up with an idea of my own I see it in a book or online. Was going to make a wooden hand grenade call and a week later someone put one in eBay.

One never knows what is out there that someone else has done, seems the wheel makes full circle, anyway it works well and it is also good to be #2 anyway or maybe #3.

Thanks for the post and keep your calls coming.

Did you ever get around to a pop pickle call.??
