Pneumatic can crusher... Not wood, but handcrafted lol.
« on: April 29, 2014, 10:42:04 PM »
We save our cans in 55 gallon drums until they're all full and usually get a couple hundred bucks for them.  My daughter likes crushing the cans and normal can crushers are hard for her.
So I built this for a grand total of $15. Only thing that cost money was the valve.
The cylinder is an old air brake master cylinder, the rod was a bent polish rod from a hydraulic cylinder, the square tubing and plate was just scrap around the shop.
I still need to cut the hole out a little bigger and make a spacer that hooks onto the back plate for smaller cans, I designed it to be able to crush the big monster energy cans with the twist lid cause I drink those everyday lol.
