Reelfoot 2014 - quick reference event guide
« on: October 06, 2014, 12:19:35 PM »

This is the quick reference sheet on when/where to be at during the 2 days at Reelfoot (Samburg, TN)

10/10/2014 Friday:
6:00pm to ?? – Acorn Point – Dinner and call trading (Blue Arrow below on the map)

10/11/2014 Saturday:
8:00am to 5:00pm – Eagles Nest – Vender booths (Red Arrow below on the map)
8am to noon – Eagles Nest – CCAA working call contest
1 to 4 pm – Eagles Nest – CCAA sponsored call making seminars

Items to bring that come in handy – calls to trade or sell, lawn chair (usually for the evenings), & bug spray (mosquitoes are huge next to the lake)

There is a restaurant in town for meals.  It’s right across the street from the South Shores hotel. (Orange Box below on the map)

If you need some adult beverages, the gas station on the highway is the best place to get it. (Green circle below on the map)

You won't get money rich in this hobby.  The richness is in the culture, the craft, the friends you meet along the way, and being able to call in a wary game animal with a call that you made with your own hands.

And I forgot to mention –
Saturday evening – Fish Fry at the lodges north of the South Shores hotel.  Wes brings some fish for Ron Gould to fry up, and it’s for everyone to enjoy.  Please come by as everyone is welcome. (Yellow Star at the top right of the map)
