lignum vitae pot
« on: April 08, 2014, 10:24:40 PM »
I've had this call turned out for a year or so and never glued it up. It was waiting for the right hunter.  It is a beautiful piece of  lignum vitae. Paired up with a purpleheart striker with the center of the pot in the middle.
Crystal over slate with tracks engraved in the slate.

Great looking work! What kind of accessory do you use to hold that on the Lathe?

Great looking pot, but I've never heard of that name before.  Nice work!

I use a 4 jaw chuck. I use the pin jaws to turn the outside then flip it around and use jumbo jaws to turn the inside.
