goose call question
« on: July 01, 2014, 12:38:08 AM »
I have made lots of duck calls but I would like to venture into making goose calls. Ive got a pretty good idea of how to make the calls but I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on what is the best method for holding a step drilled barrel on the lathe for turning? Thanks in advance.

I hold mine with my 5/8" mandrel, and then back it up with my 60 degree live center tailstock.
