Goose call bands
« on: June 24, 2014, 05:13:40 PM »
Just wanted to know if the same bands that I use for duck calls will work on the goose calls?

As long as you cut the tenon the same size they will.

Depends on who you get your bands from? Typically, you would see a larger band for goose calls due to the size of the tenon and bore for said tenon.  If you place your band on the exhaust end of your goose call, you could use a standard duck call band but you may encounter some aesthetics issues? It is possible to do what you are speaking of but there are safer ways forward.
