Tubing or not ?

(1/2) > >>

Les Kuesel at Luv Kalls:
I'm going to make some cow calls for some friends  using Al's gut kits. I see pros and cons on the use of tubing. So is it necessary or not?  I have shrink tubing how does that hold up? How many of you use tubing?

Bob Palmer:
I like the tubing...it tames the call down some.

Prairie Game Calls:
I to like tubing on the call. I like to use the rubber surgical tubing instead of the shrink stuff. I think the tubing makes it sound better.

Larry

VECtor Calls:
Yep, tubing for me too.

Austy:
Tubing for me as well.  I also use the surgical tubing on my calls.  In my opinion it definitely makes a difference in the quality of the sound of the call.  With the tubing on you can control the air flow much better so that you can adjust the volume by the amount of air that you blow into the call across the reed.  I also use Al's guts.  It also helps to keep the dirt/dust out of the call especially if you are hunting out west where it can get pretty dry and dusty.
