Recent turnings

Been in a turning slump as of late. Figured since I was on vacation from work and sitting around the house all week I should get back into the swing of things.
Cocobola bowl I started two years ago. Wood was not dry enough then. Sanded to 2000 grit and couple coats of BLO rubbed in.


Cherry mallet. Finished with tung oil.

Thanks Mac. Since the price on cocobolo has gone up recently I wish I had cut this up into call blanks. I didn't think much about it when I started turning it way back then.  :stickman1:

I agree the bowl looks very nice as well. The 1st thing I turned on my lathe was a Cherry mallet for wood projects assembly.
