Shocker that somehow you would incorporate hedge into the deal! :hysterical: :hysterical:  Maybe a hybrid with some solder or brass spacers and hedge. Looks pretty good to me!

I sure do want to thank everyone for their comments, suggestions, and kind words. After much deliberation and thought, I have come up with a somewhat unique idea on what to do with the toneboard. I am going to make a combination of the acrylic and a very rare domestic native american hardwood that has very good tonal qualities and hardness................

Is there a prize for accurately guessing the name of that rare domestic hardwood?

I work with a bit of Inlace Acrylester and after a year of testing different calls in the field it is importan that you leave no sharp edges, they will chip. I chipped out a few calls just everyday use and the chip was always on an edge. The stuff is pretty, but brittle....not to mention toxic. I suit up full respirator, faceshield, body suit, air filtration and dust collector turned on. Then I take a shower after I'm done! That inlace dust gets everywhere!!! Other than that, your call looks really nice!!

My source of this material told me today it is acrylic, not acrylester. Personally, I couldn't tell the difference if my life depended on it, and as it turns out, I guess it does!  He assured me it is acrylic!
