How old were you when you started making game calls?

Hey guys! just wondering when you guys all got started turning. Ive seen some wonderful calls on here, and mine look nothing like yours! but I'm hoping with practice ill be able to get as good as you guys.

I don't think all the practice in the world will allow me to make calls like Big B and the others that are making them for the Smithsonian, I enjoy making something out a a tree limb that call up a wild animal and hope my son will catch on

Definitely don't be discouraged.  Like anything in life, it takes practice.  The more you practice, usually the better you get.  The more you research, usually the better you get.  The more you try new techniques and expand your horizons, the better you get.....

I will say though, when it's comes to the real artistic side, there is some God given talent involved (that I wasn't given,  :no:)
