Curtis at TurnTex (the Cactus Juice man) was kind enough to donate a bunch of wood and some cactus juice to those of us at the turnathon. He also included three $25 gift cards, which yours truly completely forgot to put in the drawing when we were drawing for all the cool donated stuff. They were with all the stuff but in an envelope and we overlooked them even though we had seen them when we opened the box. Duhhhh.
I contacted Curtis apologetically and asked him what to do (send them back, shred them, draw names, etc). He suggested drawing names for them so perhaps guys that didn't attend the turnathon would stand a chance at scoring something. I think that is a darn good idea.
If you are interested in Curtis' products (he makes some awesome pen blanks if you're not into stabilizing wood yourself),
post ONE TIME on this thread no later than 11:59pm on Friday, February 1. I will throw all those names in a hat and randomly draw three names to receive the gift cards. As for me being impartial, you're going to have to trust me because you don't have any choice and my name won't be in the hat.
If you don't think you'd use the gift card, don't put your name in. If you win one, please be ethical and use it yourself. It would be tacky to sell them in the classifieds or on ebay. I want to be clear that this was not an advertising effort by Curtis. He donated these to the turnathon out of the goodness of his heart and, given my oversight, we saw this as an opportunity to do something good and fun that is open to all you guys.
PLEASE, ONLY POST ONCE IN THIS THREAD.
