What do you think
« on: January 18, 2013, 11:51:23 AM »
First off let me say that I am in no way nearly as good as most of you at making duck calls. I am still learning a lot from all of you and I appreciate all that you do to help us newbies out. Your willingness to share tricks of the trade is unbelievable and I for one thank you for helping me get to where I am as of today.
With that said; My neice and nephew-in-law own B3 videos. A professional outdoors video production company.  They were down a while back and he insisted on shooting a video of me turning a duck call. Later he took some of my calls and used them in a video of a duck hunt in Texas that he tied into the video. He sent me the video this morning and I could not beleive it. It is awesome. The bad thing is that it makes me look better than I think I am LOL.
I am not sure if I am allowed to post the video here but I will try. You may have to copy and post the link into your browser.
Hope you enjoy.
Clay

Wow  Very well done. Really awesome production quality. That drill press is pretty cool as well. Is this going to air anywhere? ~Andre

Cool video!! That would be a good promo to a show.. I wish we lived in a prevalent waterfowl area.. Deer hunting is big around here and that's what I grew up doing, since experiencing waterfowl you won't catch me in a tree very often..

Thanks guys. I have never thought about using it at a show but then again, I have never thought about going to a show
No plans for it to air anywhere other than on my facebook page and through friends LOL. My nephew-in-law has rights to use it too since he produced it so there is no telling where it will show up

My neice and her husband came from Texas to my place in Arkansas to deer hunt. She killed her first buck at my place (big ole 12 point but that is another story) He kept asking me if he could do a video of me turning a call. Being as new as I am at call making, I kept putting him off. Finally I gave in and we went out to the shop which was a total mess. He said don't worry I can take care of it   :innocent:
Being call makers yourselves, you can probably tell that I am turning on an old Harbor Freight lathe  :hammer: I have since purchased a Rikon VS and I love it.
We were in the shop for 3 hours, until about midnight getting that footage. I never dreamed that he could do what he did. He kept talking about videoing at 60 frames per second and how he thought it would look good. I just wish he could have made me look better LOL. But oh well, I am still proud of what he did.

Pretty neat   I like the way he made a story out of it going back and forth between the call maker and the hunt itself.

Really cool, thanks for sharing.

 I just viewed the video and I was totally impressed. That was awesome! I had my 19yr old son watch. He is not a duck hunter but after watching he said he wanted to get in turning and duck huntin. Thanks to your neice's husband. He done well. That was good. Still smiling!
