You have to love it when the calls work, and the customers are happy because of it.  I think, it is what we live for as call makers.

Those are some mighty fine looking bucks. Some of them are brutes, and most all have nice racks. Great pictures.

Killed on 10-29-08 11pt green score 166


Saw this deer that morning fighting with an 8 that looked to be about 140. All the deer i saw went up the same trail. No trees for the climber and to close to the bedding area to risk trying to hang a stand. So I broke out the double bull 180 and brushed it in real good. Around 6pm the 8pt walks passed the stand i was in that am  >:( so i get the Vector grunter out and let him have it from behind me i hear a DEEP grunt he must have thought it was the 8 cause he ran right to him  :( the 8 runs like heck right past my blind ;) this buck starts feeding on acorns at 50yds so I hit him agian with the grunter and he charged right in  ;D made a 17 yard heart shot. Only went 60yds and pilled up

Wow, you're right Parker, that one is huge. What a wall hanger. I really want to get a white tail like that one of these days. Never shot a whitetail and would love one like that.

Most guys around here say, "Nets are for fishing."

In other words......they will go through and usually count off the differences of one point vs. its opposite on the other side, but when there's a non-typical point, they'll add it to their total, rather than deduct it. 

In general, its getting the non-typical gross score for your deer. 

I don't score my deer personally, just rough guess it to try to explain it to someone.  Not worth all the tallying to me.  Cause once you put an 'exact' number on it, all everyone wants to tell you is, "Well, I'm not so sure its THAT big."

Other thing about my personal deer is that none of them are eligible for Pope and Young anyways, cause you're not allowed any electronic devices on your bow, and I've got a range finder mounted on mine, so I'm automatically DQed.   :D

 ;D  I'll just keep going out there trying to kill one with a decent rack on it, and enjoy my time in the woods!   ;D

I hope to have photos of this new buck by sometime tomorrow.
