I'd be interested in the scoring on that one.
Most guys around here say, "Nets are for fishing."
In other words......they will go through and usually count off the differences of one point vs. its opposite on the other side, but when there's a non-typical point, they'll add it to their total, rather than deduct it.
In general, its getting the non-typical gross score for your deer.
I don't score my deer personally, just rough guess it to try to explain it to someone. Not worth all the tallying to me. Cause once you put an 'exact' number on it, all everyone wants to tell you is, "Well, I'm not so sure its THAT big."
Other thing about my personal deer is that none of them are eligible for Pope and Young anyways, cause you're not allowed any electronic devices on your bow, and I've got a range finder mounted on mine, so I'm automatically DQed. :D
