More whistles
« on: October 16, 2012, 01:21:18 AM »
Been making these rascals like crazy, trying to fill orders before the season!

One for my good buddy Kitch.  He surrendered the first one he got from me to his son so I made this one out of his favorite wood.

A stabilized crosscut hedge with a CA finish and the customer's logo.

Stabilized turquoise dyed big leaf maple from reelseatblanks.com, CA finish.  My customer bought it as a gift and decided he couldn't give this one away so he ordered another one for his friend.  I got a kick out of that.

Red boxelder burl for an Alabama fan.  The Bama fans tend to always choose red...

This one I made for CScallmaker, who has generously sent me a couple boxes of goodies in the last few months out of the goodness of his heart without me asking him to.  I have a handful of things like that, and am slowly working on making good on them.  This one is canvas micarta.  Probably the world's most durable whistle, aside from my aluminum version!

Don't try it, it doesn't work.  My Momma slapped me back.

Aaron once again you have out done yourself.  The whistles that you make are just breath taking.  As an Alabama fan...the red boxelder has to be my favorite.  Keep up the good work.
