Anyone done much with pheasant wood?  How is it for a toneboard?  Just got a couple blanks and was wondering what your take was on this wood.  Thanks in advance!!

Haven't used it but have come pretty close to ordering some a few times.  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

One of the blanks has some sapwood with spalting in it.  Should be neat to see how it turns out.  Looks like the hardness scale says that its about half as hard as osage orange and bubinga.
