Blue grouse and a surpise encounter....
« on: September 02, 2012, 11:32:06 PM »
Hi gang!
Took the wife on our annual ATV ride/blue grouse hunt...

They tasted great!

We were stopped by a creek taking a break and I noticed these big antlers bobbing along in the willows about 25 yards away...

Bullwinkle!

He was not concerned about us being there and just ignored us the whole time...  Cool!
I'm glad he wasn't in a grumpy mood.   ::) :whistling:

All The Best!
Doug

Looks like quite the adventure!  Congrats on the moose sighting!  How close did you get to him?!

About 20 yards and that made my hair stand on end a little....  You don't realize how big they are when they are hiding in 14 foot willow bushes.  It would have been a wonderfull place to fill a moose tag, within reach of a winch... :hammer:
