Has anyone built a hawk call from scratch?

Id like to start making these from scratch, but dont recall ever seeing the toneboards up close on one.   I dont want to use the JC reed, more interested in something like a Wodhaven hawk call, that  is what I have in mind. I imagine the toneboards wouldnt be that hard to make. Anybody have pics of hawk call toneboards at all?

Same as your crow calls, just make every thing thinner, the channel and the reed to start with.   Next shorter reed, a shorter thin reed over a thin tonechannel is what you are looking for. 

Most I make are not made with the double boards, pain to keep the reed in place while shoving it down the bore.  Look at the T20, and go with that route.  Questions?  Send me an email, I will find that quicker.

Thanks Marvin, was sort of thinking of the other style you mentioned. Will play with both styles.
