What wood do yall like the best on eched glass?

Cherry is also one of my favorites but I also like the old stand by, hickory and these others, bubinga, canary, honey locust, white ash, purpleheart, walnut and persimmon.

I etch all of my glass before I put it on the pot. All of my strikers work well on it. I have made a lot out of goncalo alves that is my favorite

I find myself going to walnut alot. I have one I made up the ther day after talking to Hamer on the phone that I need to post  picture of. It has 3 types of wood. You can change your sound just by turning the striker in your fingers.

I've made a couple two-siders like that with walnut on one side, and purpleheart on the other......WHAT A COMBO!

this is walnut, cherry, and pecan on the tip part. The top is from the pear wood my son inlaw brought me. I got the picture now to load...here it is...
Hamer, that is a tenon joint between the 4 section bottom and the top parts like we were talking about

My goto is Locust, but I'll try about any kind of wood.
Cherry and apple are nice also.
