my 1st knife
« on: February 26, 2013, 08:36:32 PM »
I haven't been posting much since KC because we only have one computer that my wife uses for her on-line classes and posting from my phone makes me want to  :stickman1:

This knife is made from an old file I got from Jon and the handle is from iron wood that Aaron gave me in KC in 2012.

Nice!!  :2up:

I've been mulling over making my own knife for a number of years, but like I keep telling my wife, I really don't need one more hobby.  LOL

Having said that, I read a nice article in Backwoodsman Magazine a couple months ago on making one out of an old rasp file....I bought a couple old files at a flea market....they're just waiting on turkey season to be over with so I can take a break from call making.......

Knowing where those materials came from makes is extra awesome.  I hope you get to skin a couple deer with it this fall!
