What types of wood can be stabilized?

I was wondering what woulds you guys have been able to stabilize and which woods cannot due to being too dense or oily.

I know i have seen the following

birdseye maple
big leaf maple
black palm
claro walnut
box elder


feel free to add any that i missed

Jeremy, The ones I stay away  from are  Walnut, hedge, Cocobolo, Teak, and any with a high oil content. The theory behind stabilizing is to take woods that are to soft or punky to turn and make them so you can turn them. That's why the spalted woods are good ones to stabilize. Hope that helps.  Troy

I stabilize. It would be easier to list the ones not friendly to stabilization. Those, as said, are dense oily woods like coco and other rose/iron woods.
The palm mentioned I cannot speak to, have never tried.
