coco and ironwood whistles
« on: April 11, 2012, 01:40:50 AM »
Here's three whistles I just finished up.  The one on the left is for Longntooth here on THO....A great compliment to get an order from a very talented callmaker and all around nice guy.  He goes by Kitch, so that's what he wanted engraved on it.  His is cocobolo with a tung oil finish.  He wanted it to be easy to blow...All you gotta do is breathe into it and it runs!  She's going in the mail tomorrow morning Kitch, so you should see it Friday.

The other two on the right hand side of the first pic are Arizona desert ironwood with tung oil finish.  I'm really liking the oil finish on my calls.  It is sure easier than CA, and not everybody wants high gloss.

(this one is the back of Kitch's call)

That engraving REALLY sets off the calls!  VERY SHARP!

You've got a great font picked for your words.  It goes well with everything you do.

Aaron,  Since it's baseball season: You done hit another four bagger! Awesome, cant wait to get my mitts on it. Something kinda cool about this call with "Kitch" engraved on it. My son, who is an ate up waterfowl hunter is also known as "Kitch". This call will be in the marsh many years after this ole boy is "on the other side of the grass"!   Thank you Aaron, it is a beautiful call, and I shall wear it proudly. Kitch
