The best advice you will receive will be to find a mentor.  Someone that knows how to use the lathe to it's fullest capabilities.

Know that a roughing gouge is never to be used on pots (end grain).  But it'll be very handy for making strikers.  A bowl gouge is for turning end grain....very different shape from a roughing/ spindle gouge.

Those look pretty good! 

Only suggestion I'd make is to cut the width of the ledge that your slate calling surface sits on in half.  It is much wider than it needs to be, which can deaden the call somewhat.
